Death of baby at West Lothian care unit treated as "suspicious"
Little Sophia Williams died earlier this year.
The death of a 3 month old baby at a care unit in West Lothian is being treated as "suspicious" by police.
3 month old Sophia Williams died at the council-run Strathbrock Family Support Centre in Broxburn back in May.
At the time her death was treated as unexplained.
Detective Inspector Rory Hamilton of the Major Investigations Team based at Leith Police Station said: "We are now treating the death of Sophia Williams as suspicious.
"Our investigation continues as we work towards establishing the full set of circumstances that led to Sophia's death and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time."
