The Scottish SPCA is looking for a new home for Dandy the cornsnake, their longest serving resident at Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Scotland's animal welfare charity is hoping that 2017 is the year that Dandy finds his new forever home.

Centre manager Peter Fleming said: "Sadly Dandy has been with us for an incredible 2 years and 9 months.

"He came to us through no fault of his own and is a very inquisitive guy, who’s always on the move.

"Dandy is quite happy to be handled, and is looking for an owner with previous experience looking after corn snakes.

"While we’re very fond of having Dandy here, it would be wonderful if 2017 proved to be the year he found his new forever home.”

The centre is also hoping to find a home for Guiseppe the cornsnake, who has been a resident for over a year after his owners could no longer take care of him.

Anyone who can offer Dandy or Guiseppe a new home is being asked to contact the Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire centre on 03000 999 999.
