Homes evacuated following unexploded device in Glasgow

A number of homes have been evacuated following the discovery of an unexploded ordnance device in Glasgow.

Police were called around 1.40pm on Monday 9th November following the discovery near Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow.

Officers are in attendance and Dalmarnock Road is closed both ways with heavy traffic due to the incident from Downiebrae Road in Rutherglen to Allan Street in Bridgeton.

The bridge over the Clyde between Rutherglen and Dalmarnock has also been closed.

Police say number of nearby houses have been evacuated as a precaution.
