Cyclist killed and pedestrian seriously injured in crash with car
The accident happened near Dunoon on Tuesday afternoon
A 67-year-old cyclist has been killed, and a pedestrian seriously injured, in a crash involving a car near Dunoon which left a road closed for 5 hours for investigations.
The man was declared dad at the scene of the accident on the A815 at Sandbank around 3.55pm on Tuesday (14th June) involving a silver Toyota Yaris.
The 63-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.
The female driver and female passenger of the car were taken to Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley as a precaution.
The road was closed for around five hours whilst a full collision investigation was carried out and re-opened around 8.50pm.

Police appeal for dash cam footage
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls, of Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died in this crash and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“I am asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw what happened or who has dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation to get in touch.”
