Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash on the A82 at Duntocher on Sunday 4 September 2016.

Around 1100 hours, police were called to a report of a cyclist having been struck by an ASDA articulated lorry on the west bound carriageway of the A82 between the Kilbowie Roundabout and the Erskine Bridge.

Emergency services attended and the male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The west bound carriageway is currently closed with local diversions in place.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances of this incident and it is essential that any witnesses come forward as soon as possible.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was on the A82 around 1100 hours this morning, particularly those travelling on the east bound carriageway, who may have seen what happened.

“I would also like to see any footage of the incident which may have been captured on a dash cam or by any local businesses or properties with CCTV.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Dumbarton on 101.”
