A 26-year-old cyclist's in hospital after being hit by a lorry in Dennistoun.

Emergency services were called to Alexandra Parade just before five thirty yesterday evening.

Police Scotland has told Clyde 1 News that the woman has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth for treatment.

The driver of the truck, who's 50, will be reported in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a crash on Alexandra Parade involving a truck and a cyclist around 5.20pm on Wednesday, 31 July, 2024.

“Emergency services attended and the cyclist, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"The driver of the truck, a 50-year-old man, will be reported in connection with a road traffic offence."
