Cyclist Critical After Collision In Greenock

Police in Greenock are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured in a crash in Greenock.

The 48 year old man was negotiating a junction when his bike collided with a parked car on Grieve Road at around 1600 hrs on Monday 4th May.

The casualty was taken to Inverclyde Royal Infirmary before being transferred to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where his condition is described as critical.

Sergeant Kenny Malaney from the Road Policing Unit said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of this incident.

"I would ask anyone who witnessed what happened to contact police via the non-emergency number 101."
