Cumbernauld street sealed off and man arrested following 'disturbance' in shop

A street in Cumbernauld has been sealed off by police due to a 'disturbance in a shop' and a man has been arrested.

Main Street in Condorrat, Cumbernauld is currently closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

Police have confirmed that no one has been injured in the 'disturbance' but enquiries are still ongoing and one man has been arrested.

'Disturbance' seals off street

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.20am on Monday, 23 December, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance in a shop in Main Street, Condorrat, Cumbernauld.

"Emergency services are in attendance.

"There are no reports of any injuries and one man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

"Main Street is temporarily closed as emergency services deal with the incident."
