Crews were called to the incident just after 1 o'clock this afternoon.
Emergency crews remain on Albion Street in Glasgow this afternoon after a fire broke out this lunchtime.
Four fire engines were sent to the scene and the blaze was extinguished within the ground floor.
We understand there are no reported casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.07pm on Wednesday, 31 May to reports of a building fire in Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances to the city's Albion Street, where firefighters extinguished a fire within the structure's ground floor.
"Crews currently remain on scene working to make the area safe.
"There are no reported casualties."
