Organisers of TRNSMT and Biffy Clyro's Glasgow Green gig next month have confirmed attendees must show proof of a negative lateral flow test before they'll be admitted.
Anyone who is unable to present proof of a negative result will be denied entry.
The festival, which is taking place on the 10th – 12th of September, following an outdoor Biffy Clyro gig the previous evening, are both Scottish Government Gateway events. Following discussions with the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council, TRNSMT has announced details of the entry policies for events across the weekend.
Attendees to both events must take a lateral flow test up to 48 hours BEFORE arriving at the site. The results have to be uploaded to the Government website, by scanning the QR code or entering the ID Number, providing contact details to receive a confirmation text & email – which should be shown to stewards at the site entrances (these can also be screenshotted for convenience too).
Fans attending multiple days across the weekend, will be required to take a second test 48 hours after the first one. So, for example, anyone taking their first test on Friday morning before arriving onsite must take another on Sunday morning before setting off in order to enter the festival.
Organisers are also asking attendees to order or collect their lateral flow tests, which are free of charge, as soon as possible. Anyone who is unable to present proof of a negative result will be denied admittance.
Geoff Ellis, Festival Director said: “We’ve got an amazing line-up and can’t wait to be back on Glasgow Green, welcoming up to 50,000 fans per day for what is set to be an amazing weekend.
“This year, anyone attending must play their part and present proof of a negative lateral flow test, taken within 48 hours of arrival at the event. The tests are completely free of charge and really easy to do, showing a result within 30 minutes which can be instantly uploaded to receive a confirmation text message or email. But I would urge fans to order them as soon as possible and visit the TRNSMT website if they have any queries.”
The three-day music festival will take place at Glasgow Green from 10th – 12th September with headliners Courteeners, Liam Gallagher and The Chemical Brothers.
