Court appearances after Shettleston death
Five men have appeared in connection with the death of Gary Weir
Five men have appeared in court in connection with the death of a party-goer who was killed outside a 21st birthday celebration.
Gary Weir, 24, from Eddlewood Court, Glasgow, died in hospital after he was stabbed outside Shettleston Juniors' football ground in the city on Saturday August 6.
The five men from the Glasgow area appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday where all made no plea or declaration.
John Kelly, 21, was charged with murder and assault to severe injury and danger to life.
He was remanded in custody by the court.
Michael Gentles, 20, Liam Stead 20, John Graham, 20 and Adam Williams, 19, were charged with assault to severe injury and danger to life and were granted bail, but remain in custody pending an appeal which will be heard in the coming days.
