Hunt for couple who broke man's jaw in Larkhall

Detectives are hunting for a couple who broken a man's jaw in Larkhall on Saturday.

The 38-year-old man was punched and kicked about the head in a small car park area in Fir Bank Avenue sometime between 1 pm and 7 pm.

He was treated for injuries, including a broken jaw.

The man responsible is described as white, around 38-40 years of age, about 5'7" to 5'9" in height and medium build. He was wearing a black polo shirt, blue denims and black trainers and he spoke with a local West of Scotland accent.

The woman was white, aged in her mid-30s, about 5'8"-5'9" in height with a heavy build. She is said to have shoulder-length dark brown hair and was wearing a black jumpsuit or tracksuit.

Detective Constable James Routledge is appealing for anyone who was in the area and who has information about the man and woman who attacked the man to get in touch. He said: "This attack has left the victim seriously injured and shaken. I am urging anyone who recognises the description of those responsible or has information that could help identify them to contact me."
