Coulson Faces Trial After Election
The perjury trial of former Downing Street director of communications Andy Coulson in Scotland is now to be begin after the General Election. The 47-year-old is accused of committing perjury in the 2010 trial of former MSP Tommy Sheridan. In a hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh in February, Judge Lord Burns set a date for a trial to begin on April 21 but the Judiciary of Scotland today announced a new trial date of May 11. A tweet from the Judges Scotland account read: "HMA v Andrew Edward Coulson: new trial date set for 11 May 2015 at 10am in Edinburgh High Court.''
