Corden's Talk Show 'A Bumpy Ride'

TV funnyman James Corden said he is expecting a bumpy ride'' as he prepares to take over as host of a popular US talk show. The 36-year-old, who has shed six stone ahead of the launch of his TV career in America, said it iscompletely possible, maybe even probable'' he could be axed from The Late Late Show within six months. He will begin presenting the late night programme on US network CBS on March 23, with Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks confirmed as his first guest. Corden told the Daily Mirror: I'm well aware there is every chance it's going to start, no one is going to like it, and it isn't going to work. That's completely possible, maybe even probable, and that it's cancelled within six months.It's going to be a bumpy ride, and we're going to be tested in so many ways. It's a brand-new show hosted by an unknown quantity, to an audience that I don't know. If the show fails, it doesn't mean I'm suddenly bad or awful. It's an adventure and if it doesn't work, I'll go home and carry on.'' Corden is taking over as presenter of The Late Late Show from Scottish-born comedian Craig Ferguson who spent 10 years as host.
