A popular East Renfrewshire pub burned down last night and detectives are treating the blaze as suspicious
Fire crews raced to the Travellers' Rest in Neilson at half nine last night as flames and smoke billowed out of the roof
Nearby homes were evacuated as fire fighters tackled the fire.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9.35pm on Sunday, 3 January, to a report of a fire at a premises in Neilston Road, Glasgow.
“It is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
