A SENIOR co-ordinator at a youth group's career is in tatters after he racially abused a toilet attendant in a nightclub. John Keaney, 31 called Olukunle Ogunzola a "f** n****r" when he was told to pay for mouthwash he used in the toilets of Campus, on Sauchiehall Street. He also told the attendant "This is Scotland not Africa". Keaney, from Clydebank, pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to acting in a racially aggravated manner which was likely or intended to cause alarm and distress to Mr Ogunzola, on December 15, 2013. The senior youth co-ordinator at Clydebank's Y-sort it club for young people also admitted assaulting Connor McFadden at the nightspot by punching him on the head to his injury. There was no information given about the assault on Mr McFadden when the case called at the court. It is expected that more details will be given next month when Keaney will be sentenced for his crimes. A not-guilty plea of assaulting Robert McFadden by attempting to punch him on the head was accepted by prosecutors. Sheriff Linda Ruxton ordered a background report is carried out before sentence is passed. Y Sort-It is a youth project that provides information and support to young people between the ages of 12 and 25 in West Dunbartonshire. On the group's web page Keaney is listed as the depute coordinator. Describing some of his duties on the site he said "I overlook what staffing duties entail in a weekly basis as well as heading up the wrecked and wasted campaign around alcohol consumption and drug misuse and its various events such as organising gig nights, DJ nights and workshops related to alcohol and drug use".
