Clydebank FC are fundraising £15,000 to make major ground improvements.

It's in a bid to help them join the Scottish FA pyramid.

The improvements will include implementing a disabled toilet, a suitable cover for disabled people, medical facilities and a dressing room for match officials.

David Brockett's the media officer for Clydebank FC - and is also a wheelchair user so will benefit from the changes which would be made.

David said: "It's so important basically because it means that we open up the club to a whole new section of the community.

"Not just me - it's home fans, it's away fans - it's making football more inclusive for everyone.

"We don't have the facilities that the SPFL grounds do - so it's not particularly ideal for many disabled fans so that's why we're looking to improve on what we've got.

"It will mean that we'll have a disabled toilet, we'll have cover facilities so it means potentially more people can come and enjoy the football."

The club hope to start implementing the changes as soon as the money is there.

David said: "Ideally we'd like to have the money by the end of the year so we can proceed with the licensing application.

"Because we're a fan-owned club we don't have a money man or some sort of benefactor - we basically rely on the generosity of our fans."
