Man seriously injured after "targeted attack" in Clydebank

A 25-year-old man has been seriously assaulted in Clydebank.

Police received a reports of the incident at Meldrum Street around 5.30am on Saturday, 21 May 2022.

The man was treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a head injury.

Officers have been carrying out door to door enquiries in the area and will review any relevant CCTV for any additional information.

"Targeted attack"

Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell said: “We believe this is a targeted attack and it’s imperative we trace whoever is responsible.

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Meldrum Street in the early hours of Saturday morning to contact us with any information they may have.

"Any small piece of information could prove vital to our investigation so please do pass it on.”
