Two children in a critical condition in hospital after M8 crash

Two children are in a critical condition in hospital following a crash on the M8 motorway.

It happened at junction 4 near Whitburn around 9.50am on Sunday 17th October.

A brown Ford Focus and black Volkswagen Golf were involved.

The children, aged 6 and 14, were in the Focus with a man and woman. They were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The woman driving the Golf is also seriously injured in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to contact them.

Sergeant Jennifer Forbes said: “We’re asking for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any potential dashcam footage of the cars involved to please come forward.

“If you believe you can assist our investigation, please call 101, quoting incident 1158 of 17 Oct.”
