Pictures of Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard standing near vehicles following a collision have surfaced on social media.
Striker Moussa Dembele was also seen arriving at the scene.
A collision occurred at around 2.20pm on Wednesday on Mollins Road at the junction with Orchardton Road, Cumbernauld.
It involved a blue Range Rover being driven north and a silver Volvo.
Police Scotland said a 22-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for a road traffic offence in connection with the incident.
The 54-year-old driver of the Volvo was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital as a precaution.
A Celtic spokeswoman said: “The club is aware of an accident but won't be making any further comment until it has been investigated.'
