Two Celtic footballers are believed to have been involved in a two-car crash in North Lanarkshire.

Pictures of Olivier Ntcham and Odsonne Edouard standing near vehicles following a collision have surfaced on social media.

Striker Moussa Dembele was also seen arriving at the scene.

A collision occurred at around 2.20pm on Wednesday on Mollins Road at the junction with Orchardton Road, Cumbernauld.

It involved a blue Range Rover being driven north and a silver Volvo.

Police Scotland said a 22-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for a road traffic offence in connection with the incident.

The 54-year-old driver of the Volvo was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital as a precaution.

A Celtic spokeswoman said: “The club is aware of an accident but won't be making any further comment until it has been investigated.'
