CCTV image released as police investigate assault of woman in Glasgow

Police have released a picture of a man they believe may be able to assist their enquiries

Police investigating an assault on a woman in Glasgow last month have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist their enquiries.

The incident happened between 1am and 3am on December 5 in a property in the Rottenrow East area.

The man pictured in described as around 5ft 6ins, of medium build and with short dark hair.

It is thought he was also seen in the West Regent Street area in Glasgow city centre earlier that night, and officers are keen to trace him or anyone who knows him.

Detective Inspector Lesley-Anne McGee said: “We believe the man may have information which could help our investigation and I would urge anyone who can assist to come forward.

“Anyone who may be able to help can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0610 of Sunday, 5 December, 2021, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
