CCTV images released in connection with assault on train from Glasgow Central

British Transport Police want to speak to the men pictured

CCTV images have been released as British Transport Police make a fresh appeal over an attack on a train between Glasgow Central and Ayr.

The incident happened on the 12.15am ScotRail service on 23 March this year. As the train travelled between Kilwinning and Irvine the victim, a man in his twenties was seriously assaulted.

The victim needed medical treatment for his injuries but they’re not considered to be life threatening.

Officers believe the men shown in the CCTV images may have information which could help the investigation.
