CCTV images released after woman victim of attempted robbery in Glasgow

Police keen to trace man after 26 year old threatened on Hope Street in the city centre back in May

Police have released CCTV images of a man they are keen to trace after a woman was threatened in a robbery bid in Glasgow.

The 26 year old victim was walking along Hope Street at around 21:30 hours on Monday 30th May when she was targetted.

The man, who is described as white, 20 to 30 years old, of slim build, and around 5 ft 10 inches in height, demanded her personal property.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue T shirt with white stripes (similar to an Argentina football top), dark blue combat shorts, dark trainers and dark glasses on top of his head.

Detective Sergeant Raymond Hunter, from the Greater Glasgow Community Investigation Unit is leading the investigation.

He said today: “Although physically unharmed, the woman was left in a real state of fear and alarm. No one should have to encounter behaviour like this in our community. I would ask anyone with information relating to this incident to contact police via 101”
