CCTV images released after two Glasgow bars were broken into earlier this year
Detectives at Greater Glasgow Division are releasing images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries in connection with two incidents that took place in Glasgow. In addition, images of a van police wish to trace are also being released.
The first incident occurred on Monday 31 July 2017 at Yes Bar in Drury Street, when someone forced their way into the building but no items were stolen.
The second incident took place on Sunday 15 October 2017 at Rioja, Argyle Street, Finnieston when someone broke in and stole a significant sum of cash.
The man police believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries is described as white, 5’8” in height and of heavy build. He was wearing a Flat Cap, & Green Parka Style Jacket. Police are also looking to trace a distinctively marked silver Renault Master van seen in the area at the time of the second incident.
Police Constable Stephen Findlay of Greater Glasgow Division’s Community Investigation Unit said: ‘I would appeal to anyone who witnessed either of these incidents, or who has information that may assist the continuing police investigation.
'I would also urge anyone who recognises the man or the van in the CCTV images to contact the Community Investigation Unit at Helen Street Police Office through 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.'
