CCTV image released after Paisley assault back in May

Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries after a woman was assaulted in a bar in Paisley on Sunday 6th May 2018. The woman was attacked at 12.10am in Gabriels in Gauze Street. After that a female member of staff was assaulted by the same man.

The man ran away and police were called.

Detectives are looking to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image as he may have information that could help with the investigation.

He is described as a white male, aged between 20/30 years of age, brown short hair, appeared to have a fake tan, wearing a black t-shirt, white/cream jacket and dark jeans with a local accent.

Constable Ross Watson from Paisley Police Station said: “I am appealing for the man in the image to contact police as we believe he was in the bar at the time of the incident and may be able to assist our enquiries.

“I would also ask anyone who recognises the man to please get in touch with Paisley Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0106 of Sunday 6 May 2018. Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.''
