Two men are in a serious condition in hospital following a mass brawl in Castlemilk last night.
Police were called numerous times to a play area near Ballantay Terrace around 8pm on Saturday night.
They found 6 men with various injuries - they were taken to hospital - 4 have since been released.
Police tell us they are treating it as attempted murder.
They released a statement: Police Scotland officers are appealing for information following a large scale disturbance in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow on Saturday 8 July 2017.
Around 2000 hrs on Saturday 8 July, police received numerous calls regarding a large scale disturbance near to the play area in Ballantay Terrace, Ballantay Quadrant and Hoddam Avenue in Castlemilk.
On arrival they discovered six men with various injuries who were all taken to hospital for treatment. Four of the men have since have been released and two men aged 23 and 25 years are still being treated in hospital.
Hospital staff describe the condition for the 23-year-old as critical and the 25-year-old as stable.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Fergus from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team (West) said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of this incident are at an early stage and we are trying to establish exactly what happened and identify those involved."
