What happened? Police appeal after four cars were deliberately set on fire in Baillieston

Police are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising which occurred in the Baillieston area in the early hours of Monday, 10 June, 2024.

Around 12.30am officers were called to a report of four vehicles on fire in Station Park.

Emergency services attended and the vehicles were found to be extensively damaged.

From enquiries carried out so far it is understood that two men were responsible and made off from the scene in a red coloured vehicle.

Both men were dressed in navy tracksuits, and one was slim and the other was of heavy build.

Constable Ross Gallacher said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and we are appealing for any members of the public with information to come forward.

“We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area in the early hours of Monday, 10 June, who may have captured something of significance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0106 of Monday, 10 June, 2024. You can also speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
