Carluke petrol station victim named

The pensioner was knocked down by a lorry at a filling station in the town.

A woman who died after being hit by a truck at a petrol station in South Lanarkshire has been named.

Helen Henderson, 68, from Carluke, was knocked down by an HGV as she was walked across the forecourt of the Tesco filling station on Monday morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Lanark Road but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 42 year old driver of the DAF truck wasn't injured.

A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
