Police appeal after car deliberately torched in Clydebank

It was parked in a driveway on Longden Street when it was set alight just after midnight

Police in Clydebank are appealing for information following the wilful fireraising of a vehicle in the Longden Street area.

The grey Dacia Duster had been parked in the driveway of a property when it was set alight, at roughly 12.20am on Thursday, 7 September, 2023.

Detective Constable Calum Hall, from Clydebank CID, said: “Enquiries into this fire remain ongoing, but it is believed to have been wilful.

“We’re asking anyone with information to come forward, including if you live or were traveling in the area and may have seen any suspicious activity overnight.

“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0090 of 7 September, 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
