Cannabis worth £70,000 found during flat raid in Glasgow.

Cannabis plants with a street value of nearly £70,000 have been found during a police raid in Glasgow's west end.

Officers searched a property in Byres Road at 11am on Friday morning

A 51-year-old man has been arrested and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

In a statement, Police Scotland said: "Around 11am on Friday, February 8, police seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £68,000 from a flat in Byres Road, Glasgow.

"A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, February 11.

"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
