Cannabis plants worth £100K seized in raid
man and a woman arrested after haul discovered in South Lanarkshire
A man and woman have been arrested after police seized cannabis plants worth about £100,000.
Officers searched the property in Carnwath in South Lanarkshire and made the discovery at around 11.25am on Monday.
More than 100 plants were seized, Police Scotland said.
A 49-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the seizure. They were expected to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Inspector Scott Jones said: "This action demonstrates our determination and commitment in tackling the serious issue of drugs.''
