£800,000 cannabis farm discovered after police raid in East Ayrshire

Police in East Ayrshire have seized a cannabis cultivation worth an estimated £800,000, following a raid.

Officers carried out a warrant at a property in the village of Patna on Monday 15 August, where they found the drugs.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Grant Currie, of Ayrshire Pro-Active CID, said: “Our enquiries into the cultivation are ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information that could assist to contact us as soon as possible.

“Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the illicit supply of drugs in our communities and we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
