Man in hospital after Cambuslang shooting

A man is in stable condition in hospital after he was shot in Cambuslang. Police were called to Cadoc Street at around 8.50pm on Wednesday after he was reportedly ambushed as he parked his car.
The 49-year-old raised the alarm by going into a nearby pub and was taken to hospital. Medical staff described his condition as stable.
Police said inquiries are under way to establish the circumstances of the incident in the South Lanarkshire town.
The street remains sealed off this morning.
