Second man appears in court over Bridge of Weir farm shooting

The 36-year-old is the second person to be charged with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old man in Renfrewshire.

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old in Renfrewshire.

Don Templeton, who's 36, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court in connection with an alleged shooting at Crosslee Farm in Bridge of Weir on October 31 this year.

He made no plea and was released on bail to appear again at a later date.

He is the second man to appear in court in connection with the incident.

45-year-old John Docherty of Largs, North Ayrshire, appeared at the same court on Monday following the incident and was charged with attempted murder.

He made no plea and is expected to appear again within eight days.

The 41-year-old victim was taken to hospital after being injured from behind. It's believed he was shot in the back.

He is understood to be in a stable condition
