It's hoped a new drug being made available on the NHS today will help give epilepsy sufferers a new lease of life. Perampanel reduces the number of seizures and in turn provides more freedom for those who are prone to them. Scott Barclay from Glasgow has been trialling Perampanel for the last two years and it's reduced his seizures from around 10 a day to just one a month. The 34-year old has had epilepsy for over 20 years and told Clyde News how limited his life was before finding introducing this drug to his daily intake.
