BP agrees £200 million maintenance deal securing 240 jobs
A £100 million deal between an engineering and services firm and BP at two of its Scottish oil and gas terminals will secure 240 jobs.
Bilfinger will provide BP with maintenance services at its facilities at the Forties Pipeline System in Grangemouth and Sullom Voe Terminal, Shetland.
The three-year contract covers services including scaffolding, rope access, insulation, painting and fire-proofing.
It will be delivered by employees of Bilfinger's Industrial Services division, with many based permanently on-site.
The company said about 24 roles will be apprenticeship or trainee positions.

This latest agreement is a landmark for Bilfinger in the UK which further cements our position as a leading support services provider to the energy sector. Two thirds of all diesel and petrol sold in the UK comes from production assets that we help maintain.''
