A Glasgow schoolboy has lived out his dream of performing on stage with Tom Walker.

12-year-old Jamie Lennon from Cumbernauld was invited to play the drums at the singer's gig at The Caves in Edinburgh last night.

The Brit Award winner called him on stage after he saw the budding musician cover his music online.

Jamie told Clyde 1 it was like a dream come true.

He said: "I did get to meet Tom at the very beginning - as soon as I stepped into The Caves, he jumped off the stage and came over to me.

"He went 'Oh Jamie, how are you!?' and gave me a high five and a hug.

"It was amazing, I loved it.

"I would love to do it again, I wish I could rewind time and do it a bajillion times over and over again.

"If he invited me to do more, I wouldn't hesitate at all.

"I still can't believe that I got invited and there are no real words which can actually explain how it was...it was just amazing."

Tom Walker is promoting new single 'Burn' after taking a break from singing due to stress.

The 31-year-old hit the scene after the release of his hit, Leave a Light On, which peaked at number seven in the UK charts in 2018.
