Boy, 12, reported by police over 'knife incident'

A 12-year-old boy has been reported for allegedly carrying a knife in a North Lanarkshire street.

A 12-year-old boy has been reported for allegedly carrying a knife in a North Lanarkshire street.

Police responded to the incident on Sunday, which is said to have happened in Main Street, Bellshill.

The teenager has been reported to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA).

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "On Sunday April 2, police responded to a report of a boy in possession of a knife in Main Street in Bellshill.

"Officers attended and a 12 year-old boy will be reported to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration."
