Botox and boxes of a weight loss solution have been stolen from an industrial unit in East Kilbride.

Officers were alerted to the break-in at a premises on Cairn Court around 7am yesterday morning and they believe entry was gained anytime between the Sunday night and the Monday morning.

Enquiries carried out so far have established a group of five figures, all dressed in black, were seen at that location.

A white Ford Transit long wheel-based van was also seen.

The suspects stole boxes of Botox and boxes of a diabetic weight loss solution, known as Wegovy.

Officers are warning people that the misuse of this solution could cause serious, adverse health risks and are asking anyone who finds it or is offered it for sale to contact them immediately.

Officers are continuing to review CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information on the suspects or the Transit van.

Detective Inspector Scott Robertson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has doorbell or dash cam recording equipment to check their footage.

"It’s possible it has picked up the van when it’s been leaving the location or driving in the surrounding area.

"I would also ask motorists who were in and around the location to check for any images which could assist in our ongoing inquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland quoting incident number 0527 of 29 April, 2024.
