A Ladbrokes on Anniesland Road has lost a three figure sum of cash after a thief threatened two staff on Saturday 4 August at 9.50pm.

The suspect is described as Scottish, around 5ft 11 of slim build and had sallow skin.

He was wearing a white zipped hooded top, dark denim jeans and white trainers.

He had his hood up and tied round his face and was carrying a black rucksack with grey markings and a black bin bag wrapped around what is believed to be an item of sports equipment.

Detective Sergeant Robert Bowie, Divisional Robbery Unit, said: 'This robbery was terrifying for the two women who were working in the shop at the time. It is vital that we find the man responsible.

'Our officers are currently checking CCTV and making door to door enquiries, however we are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward and contact us.

'The man would have looked out of place prior to going into Ladbrokes, carrying a black bin bag and a rucksack. Do you remember seeing anyone in the area matching his description?

'If you have any information we would urge you to come forward and contact us.'

Anyone with information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 4636 of Saturday 4 August 2018. Alternatively you can contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
