Emergency services have carried out a controlled explosion after an incident in Paisley town centre last night.
Police officers manned cordons at either end of Well Street with the fire brigade and bomb disposal unit also at the scene.
Residents had reported hearing a "loud bang" earlier in the night and what sounded like a "helicopter circling above".
It turned out to be because of a large firework. A 35 year old man has now been arrested. He's expected in court on Monday.
