Bomb disposal experts called to Glasgow canal path

Bomb disposal experts have been scrambled to a canal path in Glasgow after an unexploded device was discovered.

Police were called around 11:25 this morning to the area near Clevedon Road.

Experts are now working to establish if the the device is live.

Officers have closed Kelvindale railway station as a precaution but the line is still open.

A ScotRail Alliance spokesman said: `Due to a police incident, trains are currently unable to call at Kelvindale.

`Customers can keep up-to-date with the latest travel information on our website, our app, or Twitter feed.'

Network Rail said it was a police matter.
