Body pulled from River Clyde is missing man Sean Blakey
His family have been informed.
The body of a missing man from Glasgow's been found in the River Clyde two weeks after he disappeared.
Sean Blakey was recovered from the water near the Kingston Bridge yesterday afternoon.
His family had made appeals with Clyde News for sightings after the 30 year old vanished from his home in Cessnock.
Inspector Kevin Lammie said today:"Around 1450 hours on Thursday 9 March 2017, the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde near the Kingston Bridge.
"The body of the man has been formally identified as missing man Sean Blakey and relatives are aware.
"Our thoughts are with Sean's family and friends at this time."
A post mortem examination will take place in due course, however there would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
