Body of a man found beneath Glasgow canal bridge

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision

A man's body has been found under a canal bridge in Glasgow.

The discovery was made at around 8.45am on Sunday close to Kelvindale Road in the Maryhill area of the city.

The man has not yet been identified.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: 'The death is currently being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem will be conducted in due course and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.'
