Body Found In Search For Missing OAP

Police have confirmed a body found in a park in Glasgow's east end is that of a missing pensioner.

71 year old Anne Rooney was last seen at her home in East Kilbride on Monday 19th January.

Her family made an emotional appeal for her safe return last week.

The body was discovered near to Tynecastle Street in the Cranhill area yesterday.

Officers say her death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
