Body found in search for missing woman from Law
Police have discovered a body near Cartland Bridge in Lanark in the search for a missing woman from Law.
Officers were searching for Heather Allan after she disappeared from Law during the early hours of Friday 6 July.
A formal identification is still to take place, but police believe it to be that of Heather Allan.
Her family have been made aware.
A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
