Body found in hunt for missing Maryhill man

A body recovered from the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow is believed to be that of 21-year-old Thomas Keenan who has been missing since November.

The body was found in the water near to Ruchill Street in Maryhill at around 1pm on Thursday.

Formal identification has still to take place but police said Mr Keenan's family has been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
