A man convicted of murdering his brother in a fire on New Years Day and the attempted murder of his sibling's girlfriend is appealing against his sentence.

27 year-old Blair Logan was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years behind bars at the High Court in Edinburgh earlier this month.

He killed Cameron and severely injured Rebecca Williams in the blaze in Milngavie and is claiming the jail term is too severe.
