Biker fighting for life after crash in Kirkintilloch

It happened on the A891 Campsie Road between Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie just before 9pm on Tuesday night.

A biker's fighting for his life after a serious crash in Kirkintilloch.

The 33-year-old's Ducati was the only vehicle involved in the collision which happened on the A891 Campsie Road between Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie just before 9pm on Tuesday night.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 33-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and fully reopened around 3.35am on Wednesday, 2 August, 2023.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen the vehicle involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage, to come forward.

“In addition, anyone who may have been driving in the area around this time is asked to contact police.”
