Attempted murder inquiry launched after Shettleston attack

An attempted murder investigation's been launched after a man was attacked in Glasgow on Friday night.
The 21 year-old was with friends in Duke Street near the Duchess Bar when he got into a fight. He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and treated for a serious head injury.
The suspect is white, between 20-25 years old with short dark hair. He was wearing a grey hooded Nike top.
Door-to-door enquiries have been carried out and officers have been checking CCTV footage from the area for any additional information on the suspect or the incident.
Detective Constable Cameron Wilson said:
“There are several bars and take-aways in this area and it’s generally pretty busy with pedestrians and traffic. From enquiries carried out so far there were several members of the public in the area around the time of the incident and I would appeal to them to contact us.
"Someone may have seen the group of men prior to the incident taking place or they may have witnessed the attack, please, if anyone has any information, do contact us.”
